Ok, I know it's been FOREVER since I've blogged, but school has kept me SO busy. I hardly have time to sleep, much less blog (somehow though I have plenty of time for facebook... hmm, might need to work on that one). One downside to being so busy is that I never have time any more to do portrait sessions for photography. If I'm honest with myself, doing photo sessions of seniors, babies, families, and couples are my favorite things to shoot. So you can imagine my dismay at coming to school this fall and realizing that models of the listed nature are hard to come by when you're a busy junior in college.
Enter Carly White. Carly and I had classes together sophomore year, and -- both being English majors -- we ended up in another class together this year. (Reason 18937959 why I love CNU: your classes are such a nice, small size that it's easy to make friends with your fellow classmates (especially those in your year and with your same major, haha).) When Carly had her darling baby, Braydon, at the beginning of the summer, I always dreamed of getting to take photos of him. So when Carly asked me after our Monday night class one week if I would be willing to do a little family session of Braydon, herself, and her fiancé Jason, I was overjoyed! Seriously, I was so excited. :) I could hardly sleep the night before the session due to excitement (sorry to be so over the top, but hey... it's true!).
So this past Friday morning, we headed to Yorktown beach. I'll admit, my excitement was mixed with nervousness (as it always does before a shoot), but we ended up having a great time. Little Braydon didn't like the sun and we had trouble getting him to smile... but he's still 100% irresistible in all these photos. ;) Carly & Jason, thanks so much for letting me photograph you all!!! It was my pleasure entirely. (And if you ever need a babysitter... you know who to call!)
